Chihuahua City is the capital of the Mexican state of Chihuahua. It is a beautifully rustic city 200 miles south of El Paso, Texas. The population is approximately 925,000 people. The mission takes place at the beautiful and modern Christus Murguerza Hospital, and is led by our host Enrique Rosales, MD. The State of Chihuahua includes the Copper Canyon – the southern portion of the Grand Canyon. The site is co-sponsored by the San Diego Spine Foundation.

Surgery
Over the week, we evaluate 60-80 children with spinal deformities and provide surgery to 10-20 of these children. Our entire team evaluates all the children together and participates in the operating room - each team member providing important insight into the care of the child.
